that time of year

- when stuff has to be made for Christmas sales ....and most of all angels! I love painting Christmas cards and coming up with new designs each year and this year is no exception!

Angels is the theme of the exhibition so i have painted some very simple design Chrissy cards - this series is called - 'angel with red shoes'-

I based it on just one simple shape - watercolour background and acrylic paints.

weaving and unweaving

I am in the middle of working samples for a workshop I am taking next week which includes weaving and unweaving - weaving with sacking and unlikely materials is exciting - I love the contrast bewteen the fabrics and the endeavour to create luxury within a poor material .......





and the unweaving is just fantastic ! remove the threads and insert a complete surprise in the weave - this has a lot of potential - I am hoping the students will pick it up and run with it

studio

well at last my studio is on order and arrives in a couple of weeks



Isnt it cute? 12 x 12 ............feet that is - so about 15 cubic metres in my language - but thats plenty big enough for me ! Now I cant wait - it will be great to move my stuff out to a larger space and leave the house for house things!

I would like water in it - electricity is compulsory - but water is a different matter...........must talk to the man about that
