Miss Stripeylegs!

My angel is making a reappearance ! I have made 15 more for the upcoming Christmas fair .......
' Miss stripeylegs' has become popular - bless her stripeylegs ;-)

Anyway as she is so easy to make I thought I would do a sort of tutorial here and explain how to make her.

Take a circle of fabric and gather it up around the edge with running stitches. Stuff with wadding and draw in - and secure. Fold a piece of plastic covered wire in half, bend round to make the feet and stitch it to the head.

Paint the stripes on the legs (I used acrylic paint). For the face I just used three dots - 2 for the eyes and 1 for the mouth , blush her cheeks.

Cut lengths of 'hairy' yarn, torn strips of fabric or ribbon and tie around her neck for her dress. I folded a small piece of gold ribbon and stitched it to her neck for her wings. Finish off with a small piece of fur fabric stuck to the back of her head for her hair.

I like 'sticky up' hair for a more surprised look!

Quite!

I am hoping to enter her into the Whipup competition - but having a lot trouble with uploading the badge! :(

I love Miss Stripeylegs :-)

especially the five naked ones - I wonder if they are gossiping about the outfits you are creating for them?

I couldn't upload the whip-up badge either... I'm glad to have some company.
